Before Active Aligner treatment, we'll assess your oral health and complete any necessary dental work. Then, a 3D scan or impression of your teeth determines candidacy; if suitable, tooth movements are digitally planned, followed by sending a 3D Smile Simulation for result evaluation prior to starting treatment.
After accepting the treatment plan, your case proceeds to Aligner manufacture. If your plan includes IPR or attachments, we'll schedule an appointment usually on the day of aligner collection. You'll start wearing Active Aligners for 22 hours daily, replacing them every 1-2 weeks, while we monitor your progress throughout the treatment.
Once you have finished your Active Aligner treatment, you will be required to wear your retainers for a minimum of 22 hours a day for 3 months to maintain your newly aligned smile. Thereafter, you may move to nightly wear or a fixed lingual retainer at our agreed discretion (1 set of removable retainers is included per treatment).
Transparent Active Aligners gradually shift teeth into alignment through custom-made, sequentially worn aligners applying gentle pressure. Regular monitoring ensures progress, with aligners replaced every 1-2 weeks until planned results are achieved. Retainers are then provided for maintenance of the new alignment.When your aligners treatment ends, you’ll be required to wear retainers to maintain your newly aligned smile. Initially, retainers are worn for a significant portion of the day, gradually transitioning to nightly wear or a fixed lingual retainer as advised by your dental professional.
